Collagen-Rich Beef Broth

Finally - I did it! I perfected my collagen-rich beef broth. Turns out, all I needed was to start with Palouse River bones! This broth is truly made with love from start to finish.

Ingredients

  • 6lbs Palouse River beef bones (4lbs knuckles/2lbs marrow bones)

  • 4 organic carrots - unpeeled/2 inch chunks

  • 4 stalks organic celery

  • 2 organic onions - quartered/skin on

  • 6 cloves organic garlic - peeled/whole

  • 1/3 cup Better Than Bouillon beef (organic variety)

  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

  • Lots of fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Roast the bones in the oven 425 for 30 minutes

  2. Put the bones in a slow cooker or stock pot

    • *Important* - Take some of that marrow and spread it on toasted bread…yum!

  3. Add all the other ingredients

  4. Fill the slow cooker with spring water (or filtered water)

  5. Simmer on low for 15 hours

  6. Strain

  7. Enjoy…and share this nourishing goodness!
